The University introduced a new retiree medical program effective July 1, 2004.
Under the Defined Dollar Benefit (DDB) Program, credits will be placed into an account
for you and your eligible spouse upon retirement. The credits may be used for the purchase
of retiree medical coverage sponsored by the University, to purchase non-University coverage,
or accrued for use at a later date. This added flexibility will make the program more
attractive to retirees.
This web site offers an array of information, including a matrix that will display the medical
plan options you and your spouse are eligible for based on your respective ages. Other links will
provide details for each medical plan and retiree life insurance.
